About the job
The candidates will be building working knowledge on data warehousing, ETL, visualization, reports, business case studies, and root cause analysis working with stakeholders. They will be gaining technical knowledge and industry experience to graduate as a data scientist by working in different data practices. They will be able to interpret large chunks of data, understand trends, analyze results, and use statistical techniques and visualization tools to give actionable insights. They will be spending most of their time analyzing data. Past trends, current conditions, etc.
Key responsibilities:
1. Translate business problems into analytical problems and come up with metrics, and KPIs to measure the same
2. Design data marts through ETL to gather centralized information
3. Create dashboards to find the trends and come up with strategies to resolve them while working alongside functional heads
4. Check for trends and identify anomalies
5. Define new data collection and analysis processes and report the results back to relevant members of the business
6. Work with ETL tools such as SSIS, SQL stored procedures, and Python
7. Work on data quality checks and automate such reports and processes
8. Work on integrating heterogeneous systems from various data sources.
9. Understand data lake projects as a data engineer
10. Understand cloud ETL platforms (Glue or Airflow) on AWS
11. Understand statistical models and set up
12. Work on generic reports using Excel, and CSV data
13. Handle RDBMS like SQL and consume it in visualization tools like PowerBI and Tableau
14. Analyze sales coming through different channels, online user behavior, conversion data, customer journeys, funnel analysis
15. Work on storytelling & presentation on key insights to key business stakeholders
